LAS VEGAS —The Las Vegas Raiders announced a historic $25 million donation on Monday, August 24, 2026. The money will help Intermountain Health build Nevada’s first stand-alone children’s hospital in Las Vegas.
The gift is the largest charitable commitment in Raiders history. Team leaders said the investment reflects their support for children and families across Nevada.
Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban and Michael Meldman each donated $5 million. The Raiders organization provided another $10 million to complete the $25 million contribution.
Davis said the team wants to help build a healthier future for Nevada’s children. He also wants families to know that the Raiders and Raider Nation stand behind them.
New children’s hospital planned in Las Vegas
Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital will be built at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. The project will create a major center for pediatric healthcare in Southern Nevada.
The planned hospital will cover 828,000 square feet on a 33-acre campus. It will initially include 180 patient beds, with space available for future growth.
Children will have access to emergency services created for their specific needs. The hospital will also offer inpatient treatment, specialty care and a full outpatient center.
Nevada families sometimes travel outside the state to obtain advanced treatment for their children. The new hospital could allow more young patients to receive specialized care closer to home.
That change could reduce travel costs and stress for parents. It could also help families remain together during difficult medical situations.
Hospital spaces will honor the Raiders
Intermountain Health will name two areas of the hospital in honor of the Raiders. Both spaces will support children and their caregivers throughout treatment and recovery.
The Las Vegas Raiders Bistro will be located near the hospital’s main lobby. It will offer families a comfortable place to eat, rest and spend time together.
The Las Vegas Raiders Inpatient Rehab Gym will help children rebuild strength and confidence. The space will combine advanced therapy equipment with playful features designed for younger patients.
Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan said supporting children also supports their education and future opportunities. She added that Nevada’s children should know their home team is cheering for them.
The Raiders have supported several local charities since moving to Las Vegas. However, the size and lasting effect of this contribution make it different from previous donations.
The hospital could transform pediatric healthcare across Nevada for generations. It may also attract more pediatric specialists and expand access to advanced medical services.
For the Raiders, the donation carries a message beyond football. The organization wants its strongest community investment to provide hope, healing and better care for Nevada’s children.
