LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Strip came alive Thursday evening as the official AC/DC PWR/UP Pop-Up welcomed hundreds of fans to Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas for its opening celebration.
Just Now News was on the scene as visitors from across the United States and around the world packed the venue to celebrate one of rock’s greatest bands before AC/DC takes the stage Saturday night at Allegiant Stadium.
From the moment guests arrived, excitement filled the restaurant. Fans proudly wore vintage tour shirts, leather jackets and AC/DC hats while waiting to explore the exclusive two-day experience.
The opening night felt more like a rock festival than a retail event. Music echoed throughout the venue, cameras flashed constantly and fans shared stories from concerts spanning several decades.
Exclusive merchandise attracts fans
The merchandise area quickly became one of the busiest attractions inside Hard Rock Cafe.
Visitors searched for limited-edition shirts, exclusive Las Vegas posters and collectible souvenirs available only during the official pop-up. Many fans wanted to purchase the Las Vegas event shirt before arriving at Allegiant Stadium for Saturday’s concert.
Several visitors told Just Now News they had traveled hundreds of miles specifically to experience both the pop-up and the concert weekend.
As the evening continued, the merchandise lines remained steady as more guests arrived.
Legendary memorabilia creates unforgettable moments
Beyond the shopping experience, the pop-up offered several interactive displays celebrating AC/DC’s remarkable career.
Fans lined up to photograph a replica Angus Young guitar displayed on a mock concert stage. Nearby, visitors admired one of the event’s most talked-about attractions, a stage-worn Angus Young schoolboy uniform that has become one of the most recognizable outfits in rock history.
Another highlight drew longtime fans throughout the evening. Guests gathered around the original AC/DC cannon used during the band’s legendary 1991 Monsters of Rock performance at Donington Park.
Throughout the venue, themed displays, concert visuals and nonstop AC/DC music transported visitors through more than five decades of rock history.
Food, drinks and giveaways complete the experience
Hard Rock Cafe also introduced AC/DC-themed food and specialty cocktails created exclusively for the pop-up.
Meanwhile, fans entered drawings for exclusive merchandise, concert tickets and special prize packages. Every visitor also received an opportunity to enter the grand prize drawing for a guitar signed by Angus Young.
Those giveaways kept excitement high as guests explored every corner of the venue.
The celebration continues today and Saturday
Although opening night has ended, fans still have two opportunities to experience the official AC/DC PWR/UP Pop-Up.
The attraction is open today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. before fans head to Allegiant Stadium for AC/DC’s highly anticipated Las Vegas performance.
